The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Hastings College
invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor of Chemistry position beginning mid-August
2019. The applicant is expected to have a PhD in chemistry,
chemical education or related field at the time of appointment but
will consider candidates at the ABD stage. Responsibilities
will be to teach undergraduate general chemistry courses, at
least one advanced level course, and guided yearlong senior
projects.
We are transitioning to a new innovative academic calendar and liberal arts curriculum which will emphasize the deliberate mentoring experiential learning, interdisciplinary connection and educational travel experiences that are central to our mission. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to be a key player in determining the nature and direction of our growth.

The Department of Chemistry and Physics is located in the Morrison Reeves Science Center and includes five full-time faculty members, strong student enrollments and a friendly, professional atmosphere.
