The School of Humanities & Social Sciences at Nazarbayev University invites applications for the position of Instructor with a specialization in Spanish language effective August 2019. The position requires an MA in teaching Spanish as a foreign language or in a related field. Candidates will teach introductory and intermediate courses of Spanish, and will demonstrate excellence and experience in undergraduate teaching and commitment to service. This is a three-year appointment with the possibility of renewal, and it carries a standard teaching workload 4/4 (4 courses per each semester).

An additional expertise in teaching French, German, Persian or Arabic as foreign languages will be seen as a competitive advantage.

Nazarbayev University is an English language medium institution and so good command of English is expected.

The Department of Languages, Linguistics and Literatures currently has fifteen full-time faculty representing a variety of disciplines, and has one of the fastest growing major counts in the School and is adding an array of literature, language and linguistics courses in Fall 2018.
