The Writing Program at FIU invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a
specialization in Multilingual Writing and Pedagogy, beginning in
August 2019. Requirements are a terminal degree in
Rhetoric/Composition, TESOL, or a related field and demonstrated
research and teaching excellence. Additional experience with
online teaching is welcome. As a Hispanic Serving Institution, FIU
is number one in the nation awarding bachelor's and master's
degrees to Hispanic students. The Writing Program at FIU
offers a BA track in Writing & Rhetoric along with a successful
certificate program in Professional and Public writing and is
seeking to expand its programmatic offerings. The program’s
curriculum includes a range of upper-division professional, public
writing, and first-year writing courses. Please visit our
