Tenure-track Assistant Professor, fall 2019. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in German or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in German by August 2019 (ABD acceptable at the rank of Instructor. PhD required by August 2020). Evidence of ability to teach German from the elementary to advanced levels required. In their letter of application, candidates should address specific ideas about building enrollment in German, how they envision themselves working as a member of a team in a multilingual department, service at the university and community level, and how they manage time to maintain a research agenda. Native or near-native level of German required.
