McKendree University seeks applications for a full-time,
tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing position to begin in
either January 2019 or August 2019.
The McKendree University School of Business offers a B.B.A. degree
with a significant general education component and several majors,
including a major in marketing. The School of Business also offers
an M.B.A. The successful candidate will participate in both
programs. The position requires an earned doctoral degree in
marketing or a related field. If the doctoral degree is in a
related field, then a master’s degree in marketing is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who have college-level
teaching experience and significant experience in business or
industry.
Responsibilities: Teach on-campus and on-line courses in marketing and related subjects such as promotional strategies, digital retailing, omni-channel, and personal selling; advise undergraduate students in marketing and other business degree programs; work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary faculty. The teaching load is 4/4 (12 hours in fall and 12 hours in spring semesters). Must be willing to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and hybrid delivery. The position requires excellence in teaching, research, and service.
