The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor in Transatlantic Early Modern Literature and Cultural Studies. We seek a scholar with a strong, innovative, interdisciplinary research trajectory and a commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive intellectual community.

Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand or near completion by the time of appointment. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English; Portuguese proficiency a plus. The incumbent will teach a total of four courses per academic year, from language courses to graduate seminars, and serve as an advisor and mentor at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Review of applications will begin on November 1st and continue until position is filled.
