The ideal candidate will be a dedicated teacher with demonstrable commitment to Academic Writing and writing pedagogy. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Accelerated Learning Programs or studio courses, programmatic assessment, or student placement. The teaching load will be 28 credit hours per year in AWR, typically consisting of seven four-hour courses. In addition to teaching duties, successful candidates will contribute to the Academic Writing Program by participating in curricular initiatives, taking part in committee work, and developing collegial exchanges with peers.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in English or related field; college- or university-level experience teaching Academic Writing; and demonstrated scholarly/professional activity. Applicants should be prepared to attach a cover letter detailing teaching experience and scholarly interests, a current curriculum vita, a scholarly writing sample, a one-page teaching philosophy for Academic Writing, and a copy of graduate transcripts.
