The Department of Government at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in any field of political science, with a research and teaching profile that will contribute to the department’s Master of Arts Program in Conflict Resolution. The Conflict Resolution Program offers an innovative and rigorous curriculum encompassing the core skills and multidisciplinary knowledge needed to pursue diverse careers, both in the U.S. and abroad, related to conflict management and conflict resolution.

 

Applicants should have the ability to field core courses in conflict resolution theory and research methodology, and to contribute to other departmental needs at the undergraduate and doctoral levels. A Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment is required, as is evidence of excellence, or potential for excellence, in research and publication. The teaching load is two courses per semester.
