The University of Dayton (UD) invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Executive Director of Global Recruitment.

A Catholic and Marianist university founded in 1850, UD enrolls the largest number of undergraduate students among all private universities in Ohio and ranks 2nd to Case Western Reserve for total enrollment. UD is among the top Catholic colleges and universities in the country. With nearly 11,300 undergraduate and graduate students from around the country and the world, the University attracts those who seek a transformative education that emphasizes education of the whole person, practical reasoning, ethical behavior, and thoughtful reflection grounded in both faith and reason within a diverse and inclusive community committed to the vocation of learning and servant leadership.

Enrollment at UD has been incredibly strong and international enrollment has soared over the past decade, growing to more than 1,000 students in the 2017-18 academic year. The executive director will join a successful team that has enhanced the size, academic preparation, and diversity of the University’s students. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management, the Executive Director of Global Recruitment will provide leadership, vision, and strategic oversight for global recruitment initiatives for the university. Achieving UD’s global growth priority, the new Executive Director will extend the university’s reach and foster collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders both within the university and externally.

The Executive Director will be an active member of a talented and diverse leadership team within the division of Enrollment Management and is expected to infuse innovation and data-driven and strategic insights into leadership conversations and decisions. The successful candidate will bring vision, innovation, integrity, significant strategic and analytical capacity, exceptional communication skills, technological savvy, and a strong commitment to the UD community and to the Catholic and Marianist educational tradition. In addition, the Executive Director will bring extensive global recruitment experience and a proven understanding of the dynamics of a complex and culturally diverse university community. A bachelor’s degree is required; fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese is required.

Inquiries, nominations and applications are invited. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. For fullest consideration, applicant materials should be received by August 31, 2018. Candidates should provide, as three separate documents, a resume, a letter of application that addresses the responsibilities and requirements described in the Leadership Statement available at www.wittkieffer.com, and the names and contact information of five references. References will not be contacted without prior knowledge and approval of candidates. These materials should be sent electronically via e-mail to the University of Dayton’s consultants Amy Crutchfield and Khalilah Lawson at UDGlobal@wittkieffer.com.
