The Department of International Studies at American University of Sharjah (AUS) is seeking applicants at all ranks for a one-year visiting appointment commencing in August 2018.

Successful candidates must have a PhD in History, demonstrated teaching abilities, a scholarly record, and a commitment to productive institutional service. Candidates who can teach one or more of the following courses will have an advantage: Modern Arab History, Palestinian History, Ottoman History or a course on conflict in the Middle East.  The university is fully committed to equal opportunity at all levels without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, family status or national origin.
