A.T. Still University of Health Sciences (ATSU) seeks applications from qualified candidates for the position of AHEC Program Director at its Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri (KCOM).  

 

Founded in 1892, A.T. Still University is comprised of six graduate-level schools and colleges on its Kirksville, MO, Mesa, Arizona, and virtual campuses: The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM), the Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS), the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH), the College of Graduate Health Studies (CGHS), the School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA) and the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (MOSDOH).

 

The Program Director will provide executive leadership and evaluation for the ATSU-KCOM AHEC program, lead a statewide grant-funded Missouri AHEC (MAHEC) project emphasizing the need for strong academic-community partnership among stakeholders, and develop/support ATSU clinical training opportunities in the state. In doing so, the incumbent clinician educator will work with numerous local, state, and national entities to represent the ATSU-KCOM AHEC program and to expand high-quality interprofessional clinical training for trainees. The Program Director will further develop and manage a multi-agency cooperative project and seek new opportunities for ATSU and MAHEC to impact the state's healthcare workforce. S/he will be responsive to ATSU faculty and administrators as well as MAHEC partners - including two Missouri medical schools and 7 regional Centers. The Program Director will directly oversee the AHEC Associate Director and co-lead other staff.

  

Qualifications: Eligible candidates must have an advanced degree in healthcare/health administration or public health. We are seeking a dynamic leader with administrative and academic skills and experience who is committed to educational innovation and the mission of serving the underserved.
