20th Century Continental European History Faculty

Sarah Lawrence College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in 20th Century Continental European History to begin Fall 2019.  This appointment will offer introductory courses on political history of Europe from 1900 to the present, and will guide independent student research on diverse topics and themes in modern continental European history. Excellent grounding in German and French history is required.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in History in hand by the time of employment.   

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae; a cover letter addressing their teaching and scholarship; a short writing sample; and two syllabi for proposed undergraduate seminar courses.  In addition, applicants should provide the names and contact information for three professional references.  The deadline to apply is May 28, 2018.
