Explore joining Rutgers in a rewarding Nursing Informatics faculty position teaching didactic courses and clinical practice in nursing and health information technology. You’ll also advise students, and work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines. You’ll be encouraged and supported to participate in School of Nursing faculty governance, be actively involved in professional organizations, and engage in scholarship in your field of expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Doctoral degree required or current enrollment in a doctoral program.
  • Expertise and experience in nursing/health care informatics
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching; experience teaching nursing students; and experience with online education.

Candidates should be able to teach and produce intellectual contributions in Nursing and Health Care Informatics graduate courses such as Nursing Systems Developmental Lifecycle, Informatics Project and Change Management, and Database Design, Development, and Applications and at least one of the following areas: systems analysis and design, data integration and systems interoperability, clinical decision support, consumer informatics, documentation and transmission standards, or information security. Student advising; graduate project and thesis supervision; intellectual contributions leading to publication in high quality journals; and service are required. The position is primarily in the graduate program but the candidate will be expected to teach courses across the curriculum.
