The School of Business at Emporia State University invites applications for one tenure-track position in Marketing at the assistant or associate professor level.   Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of marketing courses, especially sales and sales management.  Ability/willingness to teach online classes (including accelerated online classes) is required.  Academic rank is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  The position is housed in the AACSB-accredited School of Business and begins August, 2018.

Position Requirements: 

Candidates must have completed or anticipate completing a doctorate on or before June 1, 2019, from a professionally-accredited school in a business program or closely related field.  Relevant teaching (including online instruction) or industry experience is a plus.  The successful candidate will exhibit potential for scholarly research and excellent teaching in support of the School and will be expected to make contributions in service to the School, the University, and the broader community.

Emporia State University is a comprehensive university with an enrollment of approximately 6,000 students.  The School of Business, with a faculty of 31, provides educational services to approximately 950 students. The School of Business is accredited by AACSB International. The city of Emporia has 26,500 residents, a rich cultural heritage, a diversified economy based on agriculture, more than 33 manufacturing enterprises and major retail shopping and wholesale facilities.  The region is noted for the rolling expansive Flint Hills of east-central Kansas with major water recreation areas located close by.  Emporia is centrally located between Metropolitan Wichita, Topeka, and Kansas City.
