The United States Air Force Academy seeks a dynamic, articulate, and energetic leader to serve as the next Associate Dean and Library Director of the McDermott Library with an anticipated start date of August 20, 2018. The McDermott Library plays an integral role in sustaining the teaching mission of the institution as well as a robust faculty/student research program. The Director will lead and manage a staff of 14 professionals and 20 technicians that serves approximately 4000 cadets, 530 faculty, staff, and researchers. A master’s degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited program is required. The Academy is dedicated to the goal of building a pluralistic faculty committed to a multicultural environment.
