About the Position:
The University Extended Education (UEE)/International Programs and Global Engagement (IPGE) department provides Cal State Fullerton students the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience while supporting key UEE/IPGE initiatives. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Associate Director of UEE/IPGE Marketing and Communication. The ideal candidate in this role should a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Associate Director of UEE/IPGE Marketing and Communications provides strategy and oversees the project/task management processes for the Communications Office in University Extended Education/International Programs & Global Engagement (UEE/IPGE.). The Associate Director is responsible for developing and directing a strategy, both short-term and long-range, that ensures the Communications Office supports the University's and unit's goals. This includes creating and maintaining processes for planning and executing Communications work, as well as providing oversight of the Communication's Office's Project Management, Content and Design areas. The Associate Director must demonstrate expertise in creating/executing integrated digital marketing campaigns, and have experience in key communications/marketing areas, including analytics, client and account management, content strategy, digital advertising, email marketing, marketing automation, SEO, social media outreach, user experience design and research methodologies and website accessibility. As the Communications Office leader, the Associate Director advises, supports and assists the Dean and UEE/IPGE administration by providing communications-related strategy and insight. Represents UEE/IPGE in communications-related campus committees and working groups. Other duties as assigned.





Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, new media, graphic/web design, computer science or other communications-related field. Minimum of five years experience working in communications/marketing field. Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) principles and software, including journey building, experience mapping and personalization across multiple channels (web, email, advertising, social media and mobile). Understanding of project/task management principles and ability to document/implement processes.
Experience managing workload within project management software, such as Trello, Wrike, Bitrix24 or Basecamp. Knowledge of user experience and user interface design and research principles, including conducting user research and developing and implementing user personas, as well as utilizing data/feedback for validation and iterative improvements to campaigns/collateral. Demonstrated ability to use marketing technology to gather necessary data and use information to validate and iterate communications campaigns and collaterals. Technology includes Google Analytics, as well as complementary tools such as WooRank, CrazyEgg or Satismeter. Knowledge of key digital advertising strategies, including targeting and optimization relating to search-engine marketing, social media marketing, retargeting, lead generation and custom-audience building. Experience Developing and implementing brand strategy. Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, from conception to creation to review/revise. Ability to manage large workload within strict time constraints. Skilled in collaborating and working within an ethnically and culturally diverse organization, as well as campus and external constituencies. Ability to lead and champion change, and work effectively with ambiguity.
