The Department of English seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in American Multicultural Literature to start in August 2018.   

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in English or related field at the time of appointment, with specialization in any aspect of American Multicultural Literature.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated and/or potential excellence in teaching and scholarship in any area(s) of American Multicultural Literature, including, but not limited to: African American literature, Asian American literature, Native American/American Indian/Indigenous literature, Chicanx/Latinx literature, cultural studies, post-colonial studies, social justice studies, women/gender studies, sexuality studies, working class studies, film studies/theory, migration studies, etc. Applicants studying any aspect of American Multicultural Literature are encouraged to apply; however, those working in intersectional and cross-cultural approaches to other ethnic and global literatures are especially welcomed. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice as evidenced in their record of teaching, scholarship, and/or service.
