The Engineering Division at the Penn State School of Graduate Professional Studies is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor in System Engineering, tenure track appointment. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in systems engineering, engineering management, industrial engineering or a closely related field, a demonstrated record of research accomplishments in the field and the ability to teach existing systems engineering courses, including requirements engineering, modeling and simulation, optimization, and systems design and architecture. Candidates with research interests in model-based systems engineering or complex systems are preferred. Prior teaching experience (preferably at the graduate level) is desirable. Experience in the systems engineering field in government or industry is highly valued. The position will be available immediately. Applications will be reviewed starting March 12, 2018.
