Director of University Counseling Center

Adkisson Search has been retained by a university in Pennsylvania to recruit a Director of University Counseling Center. The Director of the University Counseling Center provides leadership and vision to the University Counseling Center, which is a department of the integrated Wellness Center, which includes the Student Health Service.

The position is responsible for the overall administration and daily operations of the University Counseling Center including supervision and overall performance of the staff. The Director also oversees and enhances the clinical services, programs and outreach activities, provides oversight for accreditation by IACS, ensures policies and procedures are followed and in alignment with those of IACS, the Wellness Center and the University and all applicable state and federal regulations. The Director will also provide direct clinical service and will report directly to the Executive Director of the Wellness Center.

A doctoral degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Must have current clinical license to practice in Pennsylvania. Must have, at minimum seven (7) years clinical experience, preferably in a college or university setting. Three years or more administrative supervisory experience in a college/university counseling center preferred.
