The Department of Agribusiness and Consumer Science seeks to fill this position in Agricultural Supply Chain Management and Agricultural Resource Management at level of Assistant Professor. This position focuses on agricultural economics and agribusiness management with emphasis on agricultural resource management and agricultural extension. Successful candidate will engage in scholarly activities related to instruction, including teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, participating in curriculum enhancement, supervising undergraduate and graduate research, and engaging in professional development activities related to teaching and advising.

Candidate is expected to develop, lead, collaborate and focus on multidisciplinary research focused on small and/or large rural agribusinesses marketing and resource management related to the production, processing, distribution, food trade. Research outcome is to achieve publishable results in peer-referred journals. Research collaborations are encouraged. Faculty supports the department's community outreach initiatives, teaching effectiveness in agricultural economics, agribusiness, and agricultural extension. Responsibilities include service to students, the department, the college and university, and scholarly/professional achievement are required for retention and promotion.

Minimum Qualification
Candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness or closely related field of study and must have documented research experience on area of agribusiness, agricultural economics and resource management with emphasis in marketing and supply chain management. Post-doctoral experience is preferred with a scholarly emphasis on agricultural production systems, agricultural finance and risk management, industrial organization, food marketing, consumer economics, and/or agricultural and food policy is expected. Qualification requirements include evidence of potential effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, research excellence, ability to develop and research effectiveness, and publications in peer review journals.
