The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) invites nominations and applications for the position of Chair of the School of Psychology, with an anticipated rank of Full Professor.  Candidates must have demonstrated outstanding leadership and scholarship, and possess strong commitments to interdisciplinary research, educational activities, faculty/staff development, and public engagement.  They must also have an earned doctorate in psychology or a related discipline.  

 The School of Psychology at Georgia Tech is a dynamic department with diverse research activities housed in the recently renovated Coon Building. The School offers doctoral training and research opportunities in five broad areas: Cognition and Brain Science, Cognitive Aging, Engineering Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Quantitative Psychology, with interdisciplinary graduate programs in  Quantitative Biosciences and  Human Computer Interaction. Further, the School offers a B.S. Degree in Psychology.  Georgia Tech’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration is a major asset, which has led to frequent, fruitful interactions involving faculty in the School with those in other strong programs in the sciences, engineering, and liberal arts.
