Generalist Psychologist

The Office of Counseling Services at Old Dominion University is seeking applications for the Generalist Psychologist (full-time, 12-month) position. This position will provide counseling and counseling-related services to University students. This position will also provide mental health consultation and outreach services to the University community.

Required Education: Doctorate (Ph.D/Psy.D) in counseling/clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program.

Required Qualifications: Completion of a pre–doctoral internship at a university / college counseling center or mental health agency. Counseling experience in a comprehensive university / college counseling service or mental health agency. Experience as a psychologist/trainee in a university / college counseling center or in a mental health agency. Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist (VA) within one year. Knowledge of college student development. Demonstrated ability to supervise mental health Psychology/Counseling trainees.

Preferred Qualifications: Internship in an IACS-accredited college or university counseling center.
