The Department of Government at Wesleyan University seeks applicants for a one-year visiting position in the comparative politics of developing countries during the 2018-2019 academic year. We welcome applications from comparativists specializing in any region of the developing world. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment (September 1, 2018). The teaching load is 3-2, including three sections of an introductory comparative politics course, a survey course called Political Economy of Developing Countries, and a seminar on a topic of the visitor's choice. The successful candidate will also be asked to supervise up to two senior theses.
