The Ohio University Department of Marketing in the College of Business invites applications for one or more full-time faculty positions. Start date for the position begins August 16, 2018. The position is based on Ohio University’s main campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio.

 

The Department is seeking student-centered, innovative faculty with experience and interest in professional selling. Candidates should have interest in teaching professional selling at the undergraduate level as well as an interest in developing corporate partnerships and working closely mentoring the sales students through the Schey Sales Centre.

 

Faculty will be expected to primarily teach in-person on Ohio University’s main campus in Athens, OH. Assistant/Associate/Full Professors of Marketing typically have a teaching load of 5 courses per year.

The Marketing Department is the home of the nationally ranked Schey Sales Centre and the recently launched Consumer Research Center. Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Marketing or related field (e.g., Communications or Psychology) from an accredited program by the start date. Candidates who are ABD by start date will also be considered but must have Ph.D. in hand within one year of the start date.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience and/or teaching experience in professional selling and sales management. Preferred candidates will also have experience and interest in sales technologies and sales management.
