The Senior Director of Student Equity and Inclusion Programs will oversee a portfolio of student cultural and resources services. The position reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs, Student Engagement, and will:
- Provide leadership and management for Asian Pacific American Student Services, Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs, El Centro Chicano, and the LGBT Resource Center.
- Develop, evaluate, lead and administer comprehensive educational curriculum, including programs and initiatives which support the University's efforts to strengthen the campus culture and assist student readiness to work in a global society.
- Lead efforts to positively impact intersectional identity development and multicultural and crosscultural interactions.
- Direct, lead and operationalize strategic goals.
- Build and cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to key university staff, academic deans, school Diversity Liaisons, and faculty focused on advancing community development and student learning outcomes.
- Foster an environment of data informed decision-making, including overseeing data analysis, evaluation, and assessment of programs.
- Represent and carry out special projects for the Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs, Student Engagement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in higher education administration, college student services administration, counseling, sociology, ethnic studies, gender studies, or other related field required.
- Ph.D., Ed. D., or equivalent in higher education administration, counseling, psychology, management, or related field is preferred.
- Experience leading and managing multiple cultural programs.
- Demonstrated equity minded and culturally competent leadership and advocacy skills and experiences.
- Strong supervisory and management skills with successful track record of management responsibilities.
- Student centered philosophy, excellent communication skills, and solution orientated.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands, as well as the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of assessment and program evaluation strategies, including experience creating and evaluating programs and services.
- Five years, or more, of progressively responsible management and administration experience in higher education.

- Bachelor's degree
- Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum
education

- Student personnel administration with management experience
