The Department of Accounting at Eastern Washington University's College of Business & Public Administration is currently seeking to fill one Lecturer position to start fall 2018. Position is a 9-month appointment for academic year 2018-19. Renewal of Lecturer positions for subsequent years is contingent depending on availability of funding, strong teaching evaluations and staffing needs of the department.

Applications will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality teaching. Annual teaching load will be determined each year in accordance with university policies and the needs of the department. Applicants must have excellent communication skills. Active scholarship and/or professional service are desired and supported.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (or higher degree) from an AACSB accredited institution:
    • Master's in Accounting is strongly preferred
    • Master's in other fields may be considered, if the candidate offers demonstrated expertise in Auditing and/or Financial Accounting
  • At least 2 years professional experience in at least one of the following areas: Auditing, Cost, and/or Financial Accounting
  • Teaching experience as the instructor of record for 2 or more years
  • Active CPA license (must have held continuously active license since fall 2016)
  • Demonstrated record of service to the community and/or to the accounting profession
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a culturally responsive and flexible approach that is supportive to the diverse needs, including universal accessibility, of our students, faculty, staff, and the public.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's in Accounting is strongly preferred
  • Willingness to teach in an online format
