The Department of Education at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level to begin late August 2018. The faculty member will teach elementary education and general education undergraduate courses, advise students, and supervise field experiences. The candidate should have an established record of Elementary classroom teaching experience. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to effectively teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level including those focused on early literacy instruction. The candidate should possess an earned doctorate in Elementary Education or a closely related field and show evidence of scholarly potential, including established research interests. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in teaching grades PreK to 4th.
Requirements:
Earned doctorate in Education or closely related field
3 or more years Elementary classroom teaching experience
Experience in higher education
