Visiting Assistant Professor, International Relations

Bucknell University's Department of Political Science invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in International Relations beginning in the fall semester of 2018. The teaching load is three courses per semester, and the successful candidate will be prepared to teach multiple sections of a core course in international relations, a course in international security, and a course in the candidate's field of specialization. We will not be hiring in the area of international political economy.

The Department of Political Science has a strong record of hiring diverse faculty whose courses expose students to a variety of racial, ethnic, and cultural perspectives, and we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research will contribute to the department's commitment to diversity and academic excellence. Evidence of teaching experience, potential teaching excellence, and the promise of being a productive scholar are critically important. By the start date of the position, candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. or be ABD in Political Science with a sub-field specialization in International Relations.
