A Tenure-line faculty position is available August 17, 2018, for a highly qualified scholar within counseling psychology to direct APA accredited program in counseling psychology and teach courses in the graduate programs in the Department of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology and Counseling.

 

Primary responsibilities include teaching:  Practicum supervision and participation in departmental clinic training activities; teach courses in the graduate programs consistent with teaching expertise in relevant area; research: keep abreast of recent scholarly developments in areas of specialty and incorporate into teaching as well as conduct and publish scholarly research; service: direct doctoral program in counseling psychology, actively contribute to the intellectual and professional life of the Department, College of Health, Ball State University, and the surrounding community through general service and preventive, developmental and outreach orientation and participate in local and national professional service activities.

 

Minimum qualifications: Doctorate in counseling psychology. The candidate must demonstrate professional competence in a specialty area within counseling psychology. Prior experience teaching in an APA approved doctoral program.

 

Preferred qualifications: License-eligible as a Health Service Provider in Psychology in the State of Indiana. Special consideration will be given to candidates who can also contribute to other graduate programs within the department; ability to mentor students on diversity issues and facilitate immersive learning experiences.
