The College of Education at Lehigh University invites applications
for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Educational
Leadership program. We are looking for a scholar-practitioner whose
scholarly interests fit with our vision of offering a data driven,
multicultural and global education to graduate students. The
successful candidate is expected to contribute to the programs
mission in the areas of research (within a recognized area of
Educational Leadership), teaching, and collaboration with local,
national and international educational organizations for the
improvement of educational processes and policies. Candidates with
the following background will be considered: - Doctorate in
Education or near completion; - Promise of a strong scholarly
record and program of research, and with experience or potential to
successfully secure external funding; - Expertise in quantitative
methodology, including analysis of social networks; - Experience
analyzing data from large-scale national and international data
sets, such as those supported by the National Center for Education
Statistics; - Scholarly focus on associations between educational
administration and teacher outcomes; - Willingness and ability to
begin employment in Spring, 2018; - Commitment to Lehigh

Our mission in the educational leadership program is to develop and
support effective leaders for high-quality elementary/secondary
education. Our vision describes effective leaders as individuals
working collaboratively as scholar-practitioners who foster the
cognitive and affective development of all learners through
technological, managerial, and interpersonal skills as well as
through agile and creative habits-of-mind. In addition, the
educational leadership program offers a number of special
activities, research teams, and projects in which faculty and
students collaborate, some of which include: Lehigh School Study
Council, the International School Leaders Program, and the Urban
Principal Academy at Lehigh. Lehigh University is a highly
competitive Doctoral/Research Extensive university of 5000
undergraduates and 1900 graduate students, located in Bethlehem,
Pennsylvania with easy access to New York City and Philadelphia.
The College of Education is strongly committed to enhancing and
maintaining strong reciprocal relations with the multicultural,
largely Spanish-speaking community in which it is located. The
Educational Leadership program, housed in the College of Education
offers a doctorate and masters degree in Educational Leadership as
well as state certification programs for superintendents,
principals and supervisors of curriculum. The Program faculty has
established strong research and service partnerships at the local,
national and international levels. The international program
prepares individuals to work as international school leaders
