The College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites nominations and applications for the Rile Endowed Chair of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Management and Marketing, beginning August 2018. The successful candidate is expected to be a thought leader within his or her academic field, and to engage in teaching, research, and service activities related to entrepreneurship. Academics holding a doctoral degree and qualified for tenure as either Associate or Full Professor will be considered.

Candidates may come from a range of business-related disciplines (e.g., management, marketing, finance, business law, or business analytics) but must have research and teaching interests in entrepreneurship.  This position is part of the University’s strategic focus in Innovation and Entrepreneurship as part of a high profile, cross- Disciplinary Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Additional approved University positions in the entrepreneurship area include an Endowed Chair and a Professor of Practice in the College of Engineering, and an Assistant Professor of Entreprenurship in the Department of Management and Marketing. The Rile Endowed Chair offers a commensurate and competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will lead all entrepreneurship initiatives within the College of Business, including an annual start-up competition, provide leadership for the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship across campus, and work with colleagues in the integration of entrepreneurship across the curriculum in the College of Business and across campus. Teaching responsibilities are one to two courses per semester in areas of expertise (undergraduate and/or MBA).

  Minimum Qualifications  

A terminal degree in an appropriate discipline is required to support the College of Business’s maintenance of AACSB academic qualifications (Scholarly Academic), as well as a proven track record in entrepreneurship and/or scholarly research (including publication in quality peer-reviewed journals).

  Desired Qualifications  

Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record in cross-disciplinary/interdisciplinary research and teaching interests in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.   At least three years of prior academic or industry professional experience is preferred.
