Assistant Professor of Teacher Education

Winona State University invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education.  This is a fixed-term/9 month appointment with an expected start date of August 20, 2018.  Duties associated with this position include (1) teaching undergraduate teacher education courses (consistent with academic preparation, and departmental needs) at the Rochester and Austin, Minnesota sites; (2) advising and being accessible to students; (3) supervising preservice student teachers and undergraduate clinical experiences; and (4) developing and maintaining a collaborative partnership with the Rochester School District by working closely with the administration to plan guided clinical practices, aligning district and teacher licensing goals and delivery of coursework at a district elementary site. Minimum qualifications for this position are (1) an earned doctorate in Teaching and Learning, Curriculum and Instruction, Teacher Education or related field; (2) demonstrated commitment to quality teaching; and (3) P-12 teaching experience (public school teaching required).
