Position Duties and Responsibilities:

The Campus Marketing and Communications Coordinator will serve as the liaison between the Florissant Valley campus and the district Marketing and Communications department. The Coordinator will have responsibility for all campus marketing, communications, public relations, and social media. The Coordinator will identify and develop news and feature stories, write for collateral, presentations, and speeches, and coordinate with the district department to market and communicate campus events if necessary.

• Identify and create internal and external news and feature stories and press releases on students, faculty, staff, and events

• Serve on the campus leadership team and provide marketing and communications counsel

• Serve as member of campus and district crisis communications teams

• Work with campus clients to develop marketing and communications pieces to promote their events and initiatives

• Work with campus Provost to build local relationships, i.e., chamber of commerce and business associations by providing marketing items and presentations for meetings

• Maintain responsibility for receiving and approving requests from external organizations to distribute materials or participate in free speech activities

• Manage coordinator budget and advertising schedules

• Serve as editor of campus newsletter and daily announcements

• Manage campus social media activities and updates

• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
•7-plus years of progressive responsibility in marketing and communications
•A strong portfolio of marketing, communications, and events collateral
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe and social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

Practical knowledge and experience supporting brands and visual identities

Entrepreneurial, creative, and able to solve problems
