Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM), located in the greater Atlanta area, is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time faculty position with a clinical focus in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Faculty in this position will assist with the development, content, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical curriculum.
- Assist with the development of new clinical sites, perform clinical site reviews, and site visits.
- Counsel, advise, and assign students to clinical preceptorships.
- Teach, evaluate, and advise didactic and clinical year students.
- Develop and implement ideas, procedures, and functions of the PA program in concert with the clinical faculty, the site director and program chair.
- Maintain state licensure and national certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Participate on college committees as directed by program chair.
- Perform other duties as assigned by chairman/site director.
Requirements
Candidate must be willing to travel.
Education
Master's degree is required
Experience
Candidates must have at least two (2) years of clinical experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Candidates should be board-certified as a PA/DO/MD and maintain state licensure and national certification as a Physician Assistant.
