The Chemistry Department at Weber State University is currently accepting applications from individuals committed to teaching in the laboratory and classroom at the undergraduate level for a full time one year appointment at the instructor rank with full benefits beginning August 2018. This individual will teach lower-division courses and participate in the development of inquiry-based general chemistry labs. Individuals with particular expertise in chemistry may be assigned to teach upper-division courses in their specialty.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires a MS in chemistry.
The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching chemistry at the undergraduate level and have experience with active learning pedagogy.
Preferred qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or related field.
NOTE: This is a one-year appointment. Temporary appointments are renewable by separate contract at the sole discretion of the university.
