Faculty Position in Politics and International Relations

Background:

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from an internationally recognized academic institution. Applicants should have a broad theoretical and methodological training in political science, with preference given to candidates whose teaching and research focuses on the intersection of Comparative Politics and IR and can teach courses on Research Methods (quantitative and qualitative), International Orginazations and/or Political Economy. The ability to teach courses and supervise theses on Arab Gulf politics is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Arabic language and be able to conduct teaching and research in Arabic and English. The applicant must be a good team-worker and display good networking capabilities and skills.

The appointment is to commence September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
