The Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) Program at the
University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of
a full-time Lecturer, beginning Fall 2018. The appointment will be
for an initial year with the possibility of annual renewal for up
to an additional two years, contingent upon satisfactory
performance review and approval by the Dean.
PPE seeks a political scientist to teach three advanced
interdisciplinary courses and one small research seminar for a
total load of two courses each semester. These courses will be
taught to juniors and seniors in the major providing an
interdisciplinary experience in a small classroom setting to bring
together what they’ve learned. We are particularly interested in
candidates who can teach either globally-focused courses or
policy-focused courses. A behavioral or experimental research
background is a plus. You can find out more about Penn’s PPE
program on our website: http://www.sas.upenn.edu/ppe/.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field by
the start date.
Candidates are to apply at: http://facultysearches.provost.upenn.edu/postings/1313
The review of applications will begin immediately and will continue
until the position is filled. The Philosophy, Politics and
Economics Program is strongly committed to Penn’s Action Plan for
Faculty Diversity and Excellence and to creating a more diverse
faculty (for more information see:
