The Clinical Coordinator is a faculty member who is responsible for maintaining compliance with all accreditation standards for the Radiological Technology program as they relate to clinical experiential learning, including JRCERT, ARRT, ASRT, THECB & SACSCOC standards.

1. Be familiar with and comply with all of Blinn College’s policies and guidelines.
2. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all accreditation standards for the Radiologic Technology Program, including meeting JRCERT, THECB, and SACSCOC standards.
3. Responsible for training clinical instructors and preceptors and will serve as the primary point of communication between the clinical affiliates and the program.
4. Responsible for scheduling student clinical assignments to ensure educationally valid experiences and will visit clinical affiliates regularly to evaluate student abilities.
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical education component of the program.
6. Work in conjunction with clinical instructors to assure standardization and consistency of rotation schedules, evaluations, policies, and other factors pertaining to clinical education.
7. Plan, prepare, and deliver quality instruction. Provide hands-on instruction of radiology equipment and procedures. Plan, oversee, and evaluate the clinical activities of students.
8. Assist the program director with maintaining program accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
9. Schedule and conduct regular clinical instructors meetings to present updated program information and gather input from clinical instructors to make clinical modifications.
10. Prepare lesson plans, course syllabi, calendars, and course outlines for assigned didactic and clinical courses. Ensure accuracy of student clinical records, attendance, evaluations, and grades. Enforce program and college policies fairly and promptly.
11. Provide regular counseling and advising for students, based on their clinical performance and progress.
12. Assist the program director with overall program effectiveness including curriculum development and evaluation.
13. Participate in clinical site recruitment for the program as needed.
14. Travel regularly to clinical affiliates to observe and evaluate students. Maintain on site communication with clinical instructors and clinical staff.
15. Strive to be a positive representative of the program. Demonstrate the ability and desire to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to enhance student learning and program success.

assigned. 1. Documents two years clinical experience in the professional discipline
2. Documents a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
3. Is proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
4. Ability to deliver instruction in a variety of formats 1. Holds, at a minimum, a baccalaureate degree in Radiologic Technology/Sciences
2. Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in radiography and unrestricted state license for the state of Texas.
