SMU’s nearly 12,000 diverse, high-achieving students come from all 50 states and 90 countries to take advantage of the University’s small classes, hands-on research opportunities, leadership development, community service, international study, computational resources, and innovative interdisciplinary programs. The University offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs with a strong foundation in the humanities and sciences throughout its seven schools.

SMU’s faculty includes members or fellows of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Academy of Inventors.
