This is a nine-month tenure- track position in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies beginning August 1, 2018.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to publication in scholarly, refereed journals. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in motor behavior and related topics (e.g., motor performance and learning, expert performance in sport). Advise/mentor graduate students and supervise doctoral dissertations upon approval. Participate in professional and institutional service.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Kinesiology or closely related field, with expertise in motor learning. Candidates must possess a quality track record of peer reviewed publications in motor learning. Candidates must also demonstrate a record of obtaining or the potential to obtain external funding. Candidates must have an interest in applications of motor learning to a variety of settings (e.g., sport, industry, rehabilitation, military). The person who holds this position will be expected to have effective interpersonal and communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have a demonstrated record of university/college teaching experience.
SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
