TT Assistant Professor of English in FYW & PTW

Position Summary

West Chester University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of English with a specialization in First-Year Writing and Professional and Technical Writing, Tenure-track, beginning August 2018.  
 
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate teaching effectiveness, as well as an active research agenda through a history of conference presentations and articles submitted for publication. The department is especially interested in candidates whose record of scholarship explores how first-year composition and/or PTW intersects with issues of race, gender, sexuality, and able-bodiedness. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester in first-year writing and/or professional and technical writing, advising students, maintaining an active scholarly agenda, and participating in university and department activities.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D., in hand by August 15, 2018, in English, Composition, Rhetoric, Professional/Technical Writing, or an equivalent in a closely related area.
