The Department of Political Science’s Public Administration program seeks applicants for two academic, tenure track, faculty positions beginning August 1, 2018. All Valdosta State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching courses at multiple levels as needed in their respective disciplines. To carry out our comprehensive mission, we seek faculty with the desire and ability to successfully engage students as they launch or continue their intellectual journey.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in three online programs: the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, the NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration program and a Doctor of Public Administration Program. The MPA is also delivered in face-to-face format. All specialty areas within public administration will be considered. Some administrative duties will be involved.
- Associate/Full Professor – Candidate must have a doctoral degree in public administration or closely related field at time of application with several years of full-time university experience; must meet the departmental/college requirements for appointment at rank; online teaching experience; a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship; and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The Department of Political Science offers Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) programs. The MPA program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs (NASPAA).
