College of Chiropractic - Tenure-Track Clinical Sciences

 

The University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic (UBCC) is accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track clinical sciences position; appointment rank will be based on qualifications and experience. This position is to commence on January 2018.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will serve as a lead instructor for DX611 Lab: Diagnostic Skills I: Physical Examination Lab, DX612 Lab: Diagnostic Skills II: Orthopedic and Neurology Lab and DX623 Lab: Diagnostic Skills III: Orthopedic and Neurology Lab courses at UBCC. Duties include the preparation of course syllabi, exams and lectures as the lead instructor. Additional duties may also include, assisting in biomechanics lab courses TE511L Chiropractic Examination Skills I: Palpation and Biomechanics of the Spine and Pelvis and/or TE522L Chiropractic Examination Skills II: Palpation and Biomechanics of the Extremities and/or adjustive technique labs for spine and/or extremities i.e.: TE613L, TE624L, TE716L, TE728L and TE819L. This would be determined by student cohort size.

 

Candidate must incorporate an evidence-based approach to teaching and be able to discuss and integrate a comprehensive case management method to patient care for NMSK and non-NMSK conditions. Other duties may include special projects, college and university committee assignments as well as research/scholarly activities.

 

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have one or more of the following: D.C. degree from an accredited program, and a minimum of three years teaching or practice experience and/or completion of an approved residency program or in the process of completing a diplomat program in chiropractic orthopedics. Candidate should have a record of progressive postgraduate experience and hold a license in good standing in CT and/or any other state (must be CT eligible).

 

This position includes a minimum of a four-day work week. Salary and rank is commensurate on educational qualifications and experience.
