College of Chiropractic – Full Time Tenure Track Professor Clinical Sciences

Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Diagnosis and Internal Disorders (DABCI)

 

The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC) is seeking applicants to fill the role of faculty Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences.

 

This is a tenure track position with a three year renewal appointment, four days per week, nine months – summers off.

 

Primary Duties Include:

  • Preparation of course syllabi, exams and lectures.
  • Student advising.
  • Grading of assignments, preparing and posting instructional content/grades into the University Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Lead instructor, lecture and lab for DD 711–Differential Diagnosis I: Internal Disorders.
  • Lead Lab Instructor for DX 611 – Diagnostic Skills I: Physical Examination.
  • Assistant Lab Instructor for TE 511–Chiropractic Examination Skills I: Palpation and Biomechanics of the Spine and Pelvis.      
  • Assistant Lab Instructor for other UBCC technique courses as determined by student cohort size: TE 613, 624, 716, 728 and 819.

 

Requirements:

The successful candidate must be able to incorporate an evidence-based approach to teaching and be able to discuss and integrate a comprehensive case management approach to patient care for non-NMSK as well as NMSK conditions. Additional duties include being assigned to UBCC and UB committees. Other duties may include special projects as well as research and other scholarly activities.

 

Candidate must have a DC degree from an accredited program and a completed three year post-doctoral Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Diagnosis and Internal Disorders (DABCI) qualification.

 

Three years of practice and/or teaching experience is highly desirable. Candidate must be proficient in the use of a computer including Word, Excel and Outlook Email programs. Must also be proficient in verbal and electronic methods of communication and instruction.
