Continuing a 50-year tradition of excellence, the Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees has begun the search for the College's next president and invites nominations and applications from persons who will provide exceptional and distinguished leadership. The next president of Edmonds CC will be an inclusive, innovative, action-oriented and team-building servant-leader who promotes equity and student success. They will have an astute understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing 21st century community college education, financial acumen, and an entrepreneurial approach to identifying new revenue streams. The president will be an experienced education professional with significant and progressive leadership skill and responsibility. They will value teaching and workforce training, be student-centered, and embrace being part of the local community. Doctorate or other terminal degree preferred. It is anticipated that the next president of Edmonds CC will begin duties no later than July 1, 2018.

Washington's fourth largest and one of the state's most comprehensive and diverse community colleges, Edmonds CC is a vibrant learning community with an average of 20,000 students enrolled per year, 39% of whom are students of color. The College boasts a robust international enrollment of 1,300 students from 62 countries. Its academic offerings include a full range of programs from 64 professional certificates in 25 programs of study to 63 associate degrees. In addition, Workforce Development provides quality learning opportunities and training programs for people of all ages. It includes professional-technical certificate and degree programs, career and business skills, continuing education, and customized business education. In Fall 2017, the College offered its first Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies.

Located on a 50-acre campus just 17 miles north of Seattle in the great Pacific Northwest, Edmonds CC is nestled between the bustling suburb of Lynnwood and the eclectic beachfront community of Edmonds on the shore of Puget Sound. The region and Snohomish County, where the College is located, are undergoing dynamic growth, and there is an increasing demand for a skilled workforce in the fields of aerospace, healthcare, and many others. Edmonds CC plays a key role in educating and training students for the county's high-demand, high wage jobs and in contributing to the county's economic development.
