Director of Online Student Recruitment

The Office of the Provost is looking for a Director of Online Student Recruitment to support the university’s Cincinnati Online program. This position will report to the Vice Provost of E-Learning and will lead the administrative and operational activities of coordinating a university wide online student recruitment. Co-ordinate the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, programs and events targeting a specific segment of students within an assigned area; research and identify prospective students.  This position will also support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all other activities.

 

Characteristic Duties:

  • Direct the cross-institutional online student recruitment efforts of Cincinnati Online with primary responsibilities for day-to-day operations and administrative management; implement program initiatives, coordinate across Cincinnati Online protocols and expectations for managing inquiries along every state of the recruitment funnel, including the answering of questions and how to best resolve complex issues; recommend alternative guidelines when applicable; manage CRM system and its integration with the university’s application system; develop and distribute necessary reporting through the CRM system of key performance indicators at the college, program and individual recruiter levels; maintain and stay abreast of trends in online student recruiting and changes in academic programs; assist with development of long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department and university goals for areas of responsibility; monitors and achieves established goals.
  • Direct the execution of the Cincinnati Online contact strategy for new inquiries and lead development on behalf of the university, college, or department.  Establish and maintain effective professional relationships across the University, especially in the areas of undergraduate and graduate admissions, Information Technology, e-Learning, and others as appropriate.
  • Develop and Direct Cincinnati Online protocols for how to conduct telephone appointments to provide information on the institution’s admissions process and requirements; conduct interviews to qualify candidates and to explain academic programs; provide excellent customer service to students through application, enrollment, start, and retention processes; monitor the application process from identifying a prospective student until the start of the student; assist in the execution of university and department admissions department organizational processes/procedures.
  • Recommend, implement, and interpret internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels; develop and implement responsive service programs.
  • Provide administrative leadership for the Cincinnati Online recruiters including hiring, orientation, training, mentoring and evaluating assigned staff against key performance metrics; monitor and coordinate staff development.  Utilize CRM system to advance recruitment efforts, including reporting, dashboards, and KPIs for college, program, and individual recruiter levels.
  • Work with campus data experts to compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments; interpret and disseminate information, provide advice, assist in development of online student recruitment and promotional materials, deliver presentations, conduct workshops, ensure that all programs and services comply with university, state and federal regulations. Team lead for admissions applications for Cincinnati Online programs. 
  • Network and develop professional relationships to generate referrals; maintain collaborative relationships with departments/units regarding recruitment efforts that enrich the student experience.
  • Maintain compliance with laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities as well as the University’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.  Must be knowledgeable of all Accrediting Agencies, Federal, and State laws relating to student recruitment and admission including recommendations from NACAC and AACRAO.  This includes the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) and online learning communities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years’ of experience required; degree must be in a field related to educational programs, student affairs administration or other related field. This position also requires at least three (3) years of supervision.

 

Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with Hubspot and/or Slate preferred
    Five years of pertinent and relevant student recruitment experience for online programs
