Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor of Mathematics faculty position in the Department of Mathematics, College of Science and Mathematics.
Position Responsibilities:
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Mathematics position in Discrete Mathematics, Applied or Computational Mathematics to begin August 2018. Candidates for this position must show potential for producing high-quality refereed publications and securing extramural funding as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student success. For associate and full professor ranks, experience in and commitment to developing a graduate program will also be taken into consideration. We are particularly interested in applicants who can complement and enhance the existing research in the department. Current research areas in the department include graph theory, optimization and optimal control, differential equations, modeling, and mathematical biology. Required Education, qualifications, and experience:
Applicants must have an earned doctorate or the foreign equivalent in Mathematics. Applicants with the training, ability, and/or experience equivalent to the minimum degree may be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of research and peer-reviewed publications (commensurate with experience), and potential/experience for developing an externally-funded research program commensurate with rank.
As one of the largest departments at Kennesaw State University, the Department of Mathematics currently has over 50 full-time faculty members and offers several programs of undergraduate study. The department serves over 200 majors seeking BS degrees in Computational and Applied Mathematics, and in Mathematics. A vibrant and active culture exists in the department with weekly seminars, student organizations, and a yearly conference focused on undergraduate research.
