Arkansas Department of Higher Education Seeks: SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
The Arkansas Department of Higher Education seeks applications for the Senior Associate Director for Academic Affairs. The successful candidate shall demonstrate competence in the field of academic program evaluation, regional accreditation, faculty relations, and institutional research and shall exhibit advanced coordination and communication skills. The Senior Associate Director supervises the staff of the academic affairs and research departments.
Department responsibilities: providing support for institutions in implementing the state master plan for higher education; reviewing institutional proposals to add, revise, or delete academic programs; review requests for changes in the role and scope (mission) of each public college and university; reviewing existing degree programs; collecting, analyzing, and publishing data about Arkansas higher education; ensuring data integrity and protecting student privacy; serving as liaison to institutions, professional associations, and state agencies for academic and research related matters. The salary for the Senior Associate Director shall be comparable to positions requiring similar qualifications and experience.
Candidates should have a record of achievement, including academic leadership experience at the dean level or above and an earned doctorate degree.
