Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) is a public

for Pain Medicine officially fund on March 31, 2017, is the first
and only materialized center and department of pain medicine in
Chinese high education system. This center will combine basic and
clinical research, high education and training, clinical pain
management, etc. This center will have an institute of pain
neurobiology, two clinical centers for pain management, one center
for pain education and more later. SUSTech Center for Pain Medicine
invites applications for a number of open-rank faculty positions
from outstanding scientists working on neural network or biological
mechanisms of gene regulation with the potential to improve the
understanding and treatment of chronic pain. We are seeking
applicants with expertise and experience in wide scope areas
related to pain medicine, including, but not limited to,
neuroscience, neurobiology and psychology of acute and chronic
pain. Background with electrophysiology, functional genomics,
proteomics, bioinformatics, computational modeling, RNA biology,
single cell biology, chemical biology, molecular evolution, cancer
research, and etc. are all welcomed. Applicants should have a
doctoral degree in the relevant disciplines, preferably with an
excellent postdoctoral training in a closely related field, and a
strong record of research accomplishment. Previous experimental
and/or theoretical experience in Pain Medicine and Neuroscience is
favorable. The successful candidates will be expected to develop
vigorous research programs and teach undergraduate and graduate
students, as well as mentor postdoctoral fellows, and engage in
collaborative and interdisciplinary projects with other faculty
members at SUSTech. Applicants will be considered at the ranks of
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Rank
and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
