Assistant Professor in Learning Design and Technology
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Learning Design and Technology beginning August 2018. The successful candidate will be required to:
•Teach online and face-to-face graduate and undergraduate courses in learning design and technology;
•Design, develop, implement, and supervise courses in learning design and technology;
•Maintain and build on an established research agenda as evidenced by refereed publications and grant support;
•Demonstrate desire and ability to engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations within the college, across campus, and at state, national, and international levels;
•Recruit, advise, and mentor Masters and Doctoral
students.
An earned doctorate in educational technology, instructional design
or closely related field is required. Must have an established
record of scholarship and funding in areas related to learning
design and technology. Record of excellence in teaching; experience
teaching online is preferred but not required. Successful
candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity
and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching and/or
engagement. Three years experience as a faculty member at the
university level is preferred.
